Any revisions to precipitation recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.

This market resolves around Sep 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. August’s total precipitation will be measured against the defined ranges, and the market will settle based on official meteorological data. Traders should watch for final tallies from recognized weather services as the month ends, which will determine which outcome — and thus which positions — are paid out.

Several signals could shift this market before it settles. Early-season storms, tropical cyclones, or monsoon developments may increase expectations for heavy rain, pushing odds toward higher-precipitation outcomes. Conversely, prolonged dry spells or forecasting updates suggesting weaker systems could pull probabilities in the other direction. Additionally, any major weather pattern shifts — such as an El Niño or La Niña influence — would likely cause rapid re-pricing as traders adjust to new risk assessments.
