This set of markets focuses on predicting the lowest temperature that will be recorded in New York City on a specific date in the future. The outcome depends entirely on official weather data from a designated source, making it a straightforward test of climatic conditions for that day.
The markets resolve based on the minimum temperature recorded in New York City on September 14, 2026, as reported by The Weather Company. Each market corresponds to a specific temperature range: 58° or below, 59-60°, 61-62°, 63-64°, 65-66°, or above 66°. If the recorded minimum temperature falls within a market's specified range, that market resolves to Yes; all others resolve to No. The Weather Company’s data is the sole authority, and preliminary readings may differ from final values due to rounding or conversion. If a material error is identified in the initial data before expiration, the resolution may be delayed until a corrected value is published or until the expiration date. If data remains unavailable at expiration, markets resolve to the last fair price determined by the exchange. The "Final" status on The Weather Company’s platform is informational and does not guarantee data accuracy or exempt markets from potential adjustments.
