On Polymarket, the lowest temperature in London on June 11 is priced through an automated market maker or order-book mechanism, with each temperature range represented as a separate tradable outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares in specific temperature brackets, and the price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market. As new information emerges—such as seasonal forecasts or atmospheric patterns—prices adjust dynamically. The spread between bid and ask prices indicates liquidity and trader confidence in that particular outcome.
The market resolves on Jun 11, 2026, after June 11 has concluded. Resolution is determined by the official lowest temperature recorded in London on that date. The outcome is typically verified against a designated reference source such as the UK Met Office or a major weather station serving the London area. Once the official temperature is confirmed, the winning outcome is settled and traders receive payouts proportional to their holdings in the correct bracket. Early resolution is unlikely unless the reference source becomes unavailable.
Several factors could shift market odds before Jun 11, 2026. Major weather pattern changes—such as a shift from high-pressure systems to Atlantic low-pressure fronts—will influence forecasts and trader positioning. Seasonal climate updates and extended-range forecasts from the Met Office or European weather models can trigger repricing. Unusual atmospheric events, such as early heat waves or cold snaps affecting northern Europe, may alter expectations for June. Real-time market activity and trader conviction also matter; large positions or coordinated trading can move prices independently of meteorological data. Monitor forecast updates and broader climate signals closely.
