This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded at the London City Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 2 Jul '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the lowest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the London City Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/gb/london/EGLC. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional weather analyst forecasts because they incorporate real-time information and financial incentives for accuracy. While meteorologists publish deterministic temperature ranges based on atmospheric models, traders in this market are directly rewarded for correct predictions, which can sharpen their estimates. Comparing the market's implied probability to published forecasts from the UK Met Office or other agencies reveals whether traders are pricing in more or less downside risk than official models suggest. This comparison is particularly useful when analyst confidence is mixed or when new data emerges close to the event date.
This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the lowest temperature recorded in London on July 2 is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by comparing the official low temperature for that day against the 12°C threshold. If the lowest temperature is 12°C or below, the YES shares pay out in full; otherwise, NO shares win. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the market end time, once meteorological data is finalized and confirmed.
Major weather pattern shifts, updated seasonal forecasts, and real-time atmospheric data will drive price movement in this market. A sudden cold front or unusual pressure system could increase the probability of a low temperature at or below 12°C, pushing odds upward. Conversely, warming trends or high-pressure systems would reduce that likelihood. As July 2 approaches, hourly weather updates and model consensus will become increasingly influential. Traders also monitor historical temperature records for London and any anomalies in the broader European weather pattern that might signal an unseasonably cool day.
