Frequently asked questions

The Hong Kong July 4 temperature market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and trading activity for the lowest temperature forecast on that date. You can monitor live price movements, 24-hour volume of $96, and historical price trends as traders adjust their positions based on weather models and forecasts. The dashboard displays the current implied probability alongside cumulative trading volume, giving you a snapshot of market sentiment around whether temperatures will reach specific thresholds in Hong Kong.

Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader expectations and often incorporate meteorological forecasts, historical data, and real-time weather updates. Unlike traditional analyst predictions, this market prices uncertainty through continuous trading, meaning odds adjust dynamically as new information emerges. Comparing market-implied probabilities to official weather service forecasts can reveal where traders see divergence from consensus—whether they expect cooler or warmer conditions than meteorologists predict for July 4 in Hong Kong.

This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the event has occurred and the outcome is verifiable from credible public sources. The resolution hinges on the actual lowest temperature recorded in Hong Kong on July 4, confirmed through official meteorological data. Once the day concludes and temperature readings are finalized, the market will settle based on which outcome bracket the verified low temperature falls into, determining which traders receive their payout.

Major weather pattern shifts, tropical storm systems, or monsoon activity in the region could significantly move odds in this market. Updated seasonal forecasts from meteorological agencies, historical temperature anomalies, and real-time atmospheric pressure changes all influence trader positioning. As July 4 approaches, short-range weather models become more precise, typically triggering sharper price movements. Additionally, any unusual climate events or heat waves affecting Southeast Asia in the weeks prior could shift expectations about Hong Kong's temperature range.
