This set of markets tracks the lowest temperature recorded in Chicago on a specific date in the future. Each market corresponds to a different temperature range, allowing participants to speculate on how cold the city will be on that day. The outcome depends solely on official weather data from a designated source.
These markets resolve based on the minimum temperature recorded in Chicago (CLIMDW) on October 22, 2026, as reported by The Weather Company. Each market corresponds to a specific temperature range: 45° or below, 46-47°, 48-49°, 50-51°, 52-53°, or 54° and above. If the recorded low falls within a market's designated range, that market resolves to Yes; all others resolve to No. All temperature data is subject to potential revision if the Exchange identifies a material error in the initial publication. In such cases, the expiration may be delayed until a corrected value is released or until the expiration date, whichever comes first. If no valid data exists by the expiration date, all markets will resolve to the last fair price determined by the Exchange. The status of 'Final' on The Weather Company's platform is informational only and does not guarantee data accuracy or exempt markets from potential revision under these rules.
