This set of markets assesses the likelihood of specific temperature ranges in Chicago on a particular date in the future. Each market corresponds to a different minimum temperature band, allowing participants to speculate on how cold or warm conditions might be.

All markets resolve based on the minimum temperature recorded in Chicago (CLIMDW) on October 19, 2026, as reported by The Weather Company. Each market corresponds to a specific temperature range: 38° or below, 39-40°, 41-42°, 43-44°, 45-46°, or above 46° Fahrenheit. The official data source is The Weather Company, and preliminary readings may differ from final values due to rounding or conversion. If a material error is identified in the initial publication, the Exchange may delay resolution until a corrected value is released or until the expiration date. If data remains unavailable by the expiration date, markets will resolve to the last fair price determined by Kalshi.
