Prediction market odds reflect real-money consensus from traders on Polymarket, while traditional analyst forecasts come from meteorological models and seasonal climate data. Markets often incorporate late-breaking weather patterns and ensemble forecasts faster than static analyst predictions. Comparing the two reveals whether traders are pricing in more optimistic or pessimistic temperature scenarios than official forecasters expect. Divergences can highlight uncertainty or emerging weather signals that analysts have not yet fully weighted into their June 6 Wellington temperature outlook.

Updated seasonal forecasts from meteorological agencies, El Niño or La Niña developments, and historical temperature anomalies for Wellington in June all influence trader positioning. As June 6 approaches, short-range weather models become more reliable, typically triggering price adjustments. Unusual atmospheric conditions or unexpected climate events in the weeks leading up to the date may also shift market expectations for Wellington's peak temperature.
