Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect real-money consensus from traders betting on Warsaw's June 13 high temperature, whereas traditional analyst forecasts rely on meteorological models and historical data. Markets often incorporate broader information faster, including recent climate patterns and seasonal trends. Comparing the market's implied probability to official weather service forecasts or long-range climate models can reveal whether traders are pricing in more optimistic or pessimistic temperature scenarios than institutional forecasters expect.

The market resolves on Jun 13, 2026, after the highest temperature in Warsaw on June 13 has been recorded and verified. Resolution is determined by the actual observed maximum temperature on that date, measured by official weather stations or recognized meteorological sources in Warsaw. Once the final temperature is confirmed, the outcome contract matching that result is settled at full value, and all other contracts expire worthless. Traders should monitor official weather data sources as the event date approaches.

Major weather pattern shifts, seasonal climate anomalies, and updated long-range forecasts from meteorological agencies can significantly move odds. Extreme heat waves or cold fronts affecting Central Europe in early June would shift trader expectations. Real-time weather model updates released in the days before June 13 often trigger sharp repricing. Additionally, historical temperature records for that date and broader climate trends for the region influence how traders assess the probability of different temperature outcomes, causing continuous adjustment of market prices.
