This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Warsaw Chopin Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 10 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Warsaw Chopin Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/pl/warsaw/EPWA. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect real-time trader consensus and often diverge from traditional meteorological forecasts. While weather analysts rely on numerical models and historical climate data, prediction markets incorporate trader expectations, recent weather patterns, and emerging atmospheric signals. Comparing the market's implied probability to official forecasts from Poland's meteorological institute or European weather services can reveal whether traders are pricing in more optimistic or pessimistic temperature scenarios. These differences highlight how markets and expert models weigh uncertainty differently.
The market resolves on Jun 10, 2026, after the highest temperature recorded in Warsaw on June 10 is finalized. Resolution depends on official temperature data from meteorological authorities monitoring Warsaw's weather station. Once the day's peak temperature is confirmed, the outcome is determined and traders' positions settle accordingly. The specific threshold or range that triggers each outcome is defined in the market's terms at launch, ensuring clarity for all participants about how results will be adjudicated.
Several factors could shift odds before June 10. Major weather pattern changes—such as a high-pressure system moving into Central Europe or an unexpected cold front—would alter temperature expectations significantly. Updated seasonal forecasts from meteorological institutes and real-time atmospheric data releases typically influence trader positioning. As June 10 approaches, short-range weather models become more reliable, often triggering sharp repricing. Additionally, historical temperature records for that date and broader climate anomalies in spring 2026 may prompt traders to adjust their bids based on emerging seasonal trends.
