This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
The market resolves on Jun 7, 2026, after the highest temperature in Toronto on June 7 has been recorded. Resolution is determined by official temperature data for that date. The outcome is settled based on the actual peak temperature recorded by the designated weather authority, ensuring an objective and verifiable result. Traders should monitor official weather records as the resolution date approaches to understand which outcome bracket will be confirmed.
Major weather pattern shifts, updated seasonal forecasts, and atmospheric pressure systems affecting Eastern Canada can significantly move odds. Tropical systems, heat domes, or cold fronts predicted to influence Toronto in early June would shift market expectations. Real-time weather model updates from meteorological agencies typically cause price movements as traders adjust positions. Unusual climate anomalies or El Niño/La Niña developments could also influence longer-term temperature expectations, causing traders to reprrice the likelihood of above or below-average heat on that specific day.
