This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Ben Gurion International Airport in degrees Celsius on 4 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=LLBG To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect aggregated trader beliefs about Tel Aviv's peak temperature on June 4, often incorporating meteorological models and historical climate data faster than traditional analyst forecasts update. While weather analysts publish point estimates and confidence intervals based on atmospheric modeling, prediction markets price in real-time uncertainty and tail risks. Comparing the two reveals whether traders are pricing in more extreme outcomes than consensus forecasts suggest, or conversely, whether markets are underweighting known seasonal or climate patterns that analysts emphasize.
Highest temperature in Tel Aviv on June 4 is priced on Polymarket through a set of discrete temperature outcome contracts. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome represents a specific temperature range or exact value, and traders buy or sell shares reflecting their belief in that outcome's likelihood. Prices range from 0 to 1 and represent implied probability. As traders submit orders, prices adjust in real time based on supply and demand. The market aggregates dispersed information about seasonal weather patterns, climate anomalies, and near-term meteorological forecasts into a single price signal.
The market resolves on Jun 4, 2026, after the highest temperature in Tel Aviv on June 4 has been recorded and verified. Resolution is determined by the official maximum temperature reported for that date by the designated weather authority or data source specified in the market terms. Once the actual high temperature is confirmed, the corresponding outcome contract is settled at 1.00 and all other outcomes settle at 0.00. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout based on their entry price.
Major weather pattern shifts, including changes to jet stream positioning, arrival of heat waves, or Mediterranean storm systems, could significantly move odds. Updated seasonal forecasts from meteorological agencies and real-time atmospheric data releases will influence trader expectations. Broader climate anomalies, such as sea surface temperature deviations or pressure system developments weeks in advance, often correlate with June temperatures in Tel Aviv. As June 4 approaches, short-term weather models become more precise, typically narrowing the range of plausible outcomes and sharpening market prices toward the most likely temperature band.
