Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Tel Aviv temperature market dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for the highest temperature forecast in Tel Aviv on June 30. The interface displays the current probability of the leading outcome, historical price movements, and recent trading volume. Traders use this data to monitor how market sentiment shifts as new weather models and forecasts emerge. The dashboard provides a transparent view of how participants are pricing temperature scenarios, helping you gauge consensus expectations for that specific date.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional meteorological forecasts because they incorporate real-time trader positioning and risk appetite alongside expert models. While meteorologists publish point estimates and confidence intervals based on atmospheric data, this market aggregates the collective judgment of traders betting real capital on the outcome. Comparing the leading odds here to published forecasts from weather services can reveal where the market is pricing in additional uncertainty or consensus. Both sources offer value: analysts provide technical depth, while markets reflect dynamic, incentivized expectations.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares of each temperature outcome, with the price of a share reflecting the probability of that scenario. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The leading outcome currently reflects market consensus, though prices shift continuously as new information arrives and traders adjust positions. Each outcome is priced independently, so you can compare the odds across different temperature ranges to identify where the market sees the most uncertainty. Liquidity and trading volume influence how easily you can enter or exit a position at the displayed price.

This market resolves around Jun 30, 2026, once the highest temperature recorded in Tel Aviv on June 30 is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing all temperature readings for that day and confirming the peak value. Resolution typically occurs within hours or a few days after the event, depending on data availability and platform verification procedures. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout once the result is finalized and confirmed.

Major weather pattern shifts, updated seasonal forecasts, and real-time atmospheric data releases can all drive significant price movements in this market. Heat waves, pressure system changes, or anomalous jet stream behavior reported by meteorological agencies often trigger trader repositioning. As June approaches, historical temperature records and climate anomalies for that region become more relevant. In the final days before June 30, actual weather conditions and short-term forecasts will dominate trading, potentially causing sharp swings as traders lock in positions ahead of resolution.
