Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Tel Aviv temperature market dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for the highest temperature forecast in Tel Aviv on June 14. The interface displays the current probability of key temperature thresholds, recent price movements, and cumulative trading volume. Traders use this data to monitor how market sentiment shifts as new weather models and forecasts emerge. The dashboard provides a transparent view of how participants are pricing different temperature outcomes, helping you gauge consensus expectations for that specific date.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional meteorological forecasts because they incorporate real-time trader behavior and collective intelligence. While weather analysts rely on deterministic models and historical data, this market aggregates the beliefs of many participants who have financial incentive to forecast accurately. Comparing the market's implied probability to published forecasts from national weather services can reveal where traders see upside or downside risk. These differences highlight how markets sometimes price in uncertainty or consensus shifts that official forecasts may lag in reflecting.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling shares that represent different temperature outcomes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share pays out based on whether the actual high temperature matches the specified range at market close. The current price of a share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market; higher prices indicate greater confidence in that outcome. As new information arrives—updated weather models, seasonal patterns, or real-time conditions—traders adjust their positions, causing prices to move dynamically until resolution.

This market resolves around Jun 14, 2026, once the highest temperature recorded in Tel Aviv on June 14 is finalized and verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing the actual observed high temperature against the specified threshold in the market contract. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the close of the trading day, after meteorological data has been officially recorded and confirmed. Traders should monitor weather station reports and official announcements to anticipate the final settlement.

Several factors can shift odds in this market before Jun 14, 2026. Updated weather models and seasonal forecasts from meteorological agencies often trigger repricing as traders incorporate new data. Real-time atmospheric conditions, jet stream patterns, and regional heat waves can alter expectations. Major weather events or anomalies reported in the days leading up to June 14 may prompt rapid position changes. Additionally, historical temperature records for that date and time of year serve as anchors; traders may adjust if early-month conditions suggest deviation from the norm.
