Prediction market odds reflect the collective judgment of traders betting real money, often diverging from traditional meteorologist forecasts. While weather analysts rely on numerical models and historical data, this market aggregates the views of many participants with financial incentives to be accurate. Comparing the leading outcome's implied probability to published forecasts from meteorological agencies can reveal where traders see higher or lower confidence in specific temperature ranges. These differences often highlight uncertainty or emerging consensus that formal forecasts may not yet fully capture.

This market resolves around Jul 1, 2026, once July 1 has passed and the highest temperature recorded in Tel Aviv can be verified. The outcome is confirmed by comparing the actual recorded high temperature against the outcome thresholds defined in the market. Once the temperature is officially recorded and confirmed, the market settles and winning positions are paid out accordingly.

Several factors could shift trader sentiment and move prices in this market. Updated seasonal weather forecasts, changes in atmospheric pressure systems, or shifts in long-range climate patterns could influence expectations for July temperatures. Real-time weather alerts, heatwave warnings, or anomalous conditions in the Mediterranean region may prompt traders to reassess their positions. Additionally, historical temperature records for Tel Aviv in early July and any unusual global weather events could trigger trading activity. As the resolution date approaches and more precise forecasts become available, prices typically converge toward the actual outcome.
