This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 1 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/cn/shenzhen/ZGSZ. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect aggregated trader expectations and often incorporate meteorological forecasts, historical climate patterns, and seasonal data for Shenzhen. Professional weather analysts and climate services publish June temperature projections based on atmospheric models and long-term records. Comparing market-implied probabilities to analyst consensus reveals whether traders are pricing in more optimistic or pessimistic temperature scenarios than experts predict. Divergences may signal either market inefficiency or trader access to real-time weather updates that analysts have not yet incorporated.
The market resolves on Jun 1, 2026, after the highest temperature in Shenzhen on June 1, 2026 has been recorded and verified. Resolution is determined by official meteorological data from Shenzhen's primary weather station or national climate authority. The outcome is the single highest temperature reading observed during the calendar day, measured in degrees Celsius. Once the official figure is published and confirmed, the corresponding outcome contract is settled and all positions are paid out according to the final result.
Major weather pattern shifts, updated seasonal forecasts, and atmospheric anomalies can significantly move odds. El Niño or La Niña conditions, monsoon timing changes, and tropical cyclone activity near southern China all influence June temperatures in Shenzhen. Real-time meteorological model updates—especially from major forecasting centers—often trigger sharp repricing. Historical heat waves, urban heat island effects, and long-range climate outlooks also inform trader positioning. As June 1 approaches, short-range weather forecasts become increasingly precise and can cause rapid market adjustments in the final days before resolution.
