The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Sao Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/br/guarulhos/SBGR. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
The market resolves on Jun 7, 2026, after the highest temperature recorded in Sao Paulo on June 7 is finalized. Resolution depends on official temperature data reported for that date, typically sourced from Brazil's meteorological authorities or recognized weather stations in the Sao Paulo metropolitan area. The exact outcome determination follows Polymarket's standard resolution criteria for weather events, which specify the data source and measurement methodology used to settle all temperature contracts. Traders should review the market's terms to understand which official source will be used for final settlement.
Temperature odds on Polymarket will shift based on updated weather forecasts from meteorological agencies, seasonal climate patterns, and atmospheric conditions approaching June 7. Cold fronts, tropical systems, or high-pressure systems moving into the region could significantly alter trader expectations. Real-time weather model updates, satellite imagery, and historical temperature anomalies for early June in Sao Paulo all influence market pricing. As the event date nears, short-range forecasts become more reliable, typically causing odds to stabilize. Major climate announcements or unusual atmospheric events weeks prior could also trigger early repricing of temperature expectations.
