This event tracks the highest temperature reached in San Diego on a specific date in the future. The outcome depends on official weather data from a designated source, reflecting climate conditions on that day. Participants assess likelihood based on historical trends and forecasts.
The event resolves based on the maximum temperature recorded in San Diego (CLISAN) on September 4, 2026, as reported by The Weather Company. Six distinct temperature ranges are defined, each corresponding to a separate market that resolves to Yes if the recorded temperature falls within its specified range. All markets share identical secondary rules regarding data verification and error handling. The Weather Company’s data is the sole authority, even if preliminary readings differ from final reports. If a material error is identified in the initial publication before the expiration date, the resolution may be delayed until a corrected value is released or until expiration, whichever comes first. Should no data remain available by the expiration date, all markets resolve to the last fair price determined by the exchange. The “Final” status on The Weather Company’s platform is informational only and does not exempt the data from potential revision or error correction under these rules.
