The market resolves on Jun 4, 2026, after the trading window closes and the actual highest temperature recorded in Qingdao on June 4 is finalized. The outcome is determined by official meteorological data from recognized weather stations or authorities in Qingdao. Once the peak temperature for that day is confirmed, the corresponding outcome share is paid out at full value, and all other shares expire worthless. This ensures the market settles based on verifiable, objective climate data rather than subjective interpretation.
Several factors could shift odds for Qingdao's highest temperature on June 4. Major weather pattern changes, such as the arrival of cold fronts, typhoons, or high-pressure systems, would trigger significant repricing. Updated seasonal forecasts from meteorological agencies and real-time atmospheric data releases can move the market. Historical temperature anomalies for early June in Qingdao may influence trader positioning. Additionally, broader climate events, El Niño or La Niña patterns, and regional air quality or pollution alerts could indirectly affect temperature expectations and trading sentiment.
