This event tracks the highest temperature reached in Philadelphia on a specific date in the future, using data from a designated weather provider. The outcome depends on where the recorded temperature falls within predefined ranges, reflecting possible weather conditions for that day.
The event resolves based on the maximum temperature recorded in Philadelphia on October 14, 2026, as reported by The Weather Company. Six separate temperature ranges are defined, each corresponding to a different market outcome. If the temperature is 80°F or lower, the first market resolves to Yes. If it falls between 81°F and 82°F, the second market resolves to Yes, and this pattern continues for temperatures between 83°F-84°F, 85°F-86°F, and 87°F-88°F, resolving the third, fourth, and fifth markets respectively. For any temperature above 88°F, the sixth market resolves to Yes. All markets use The Weather Company as the sole source for temperature data. Preliminary data may be subject to revision, and the exchange retains discretion to address material errors in initial reports. If data remains unavailable by the expiration date, markets resolve to the last fair price determined by the exchange. The "Final" status on The Weather Company’s platform is informational and does not guarantee data accuracy or exempt markets from potential revisions.
