This event tracks the highest temperature recorded in New York City on a specific date in the future, offering different outcomes based on the exact temperature range achieved. The resolution depends solely on official weather data from a designated source.
The event resolves based on the maximum temperature recorded in New York City on October 29, 2026, as reported by The Weather Company. Six distinct temperature ranges are defined, each corresponding to a separate market that will resolve to 'Yes' if the recorded temperature falls within that range. All markets share identical secondary rules regarding data verification and error handling. If The Weather Company reports a temperature within a specific range, the associated market resolves accordingly. The Exchange retains discretion to address material errors in the initial data publication, potentially delaying resolution until a corrected value is released or until the expiration date. If data remains unavailable by the expiration date, all markets resolve to the last fair price determined by the Exchange. The 'Final' status on The Weather Company's platform is informational only and does not guarantee data accuracy or exempt the data from potential revision under these rules.
