This event tracks the highest temperature recorded in New York City on a specific date in the future. The outcome depends entirely on official weather data from a designated source, making it a straightforward test of actual climatic conditions on that day.
The event resolves based on the maximum temperature recorded in New York City on October 21, 2026, as reported by The Weather Company. Six separate outcome ranges are defined, each covering a specific temperature band from 58°F or below up to 67°F or above. If the recorded temperature falls within any of these ranges, the corresponding market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. All markets share identical secondary rules regarding data verification and error handling. Preliminary data may be subject to revision, and the exchange retains discretion to delay resolution if material errors are identified in initial reports. If final data remains unavailable by the expiration date, markets will resolve at the last fair price determined by the exchange. The status of 'Final' on The Weather Company's platform is informational only and does not guarantee immunity from post-publication corrections.
