On Polymarket, the highest temperature in Munich on June 8 is priced as a set of outcome contracts, each representing a specific temperature range or threshold. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell these contracts based on their confidence in each outcome, with prices reflecting the implied probability of that temperature occurring. As new weather forecasts emerge and the event date draws closer, prices adjust dynamically. The market price at any moment represents the collective belief of active traders about which temperature outcome is most likely.
The market resolves on Jun 8, 2026, after the highest temperature in Munich on June 8 has been recorded and finalized. Resolution depends on official temperature data from a designated meteorological source for Munich. The outcome is determined by comparing the actual highest temperature recorded that day against the predefined outcome categories in the market. Once the official temperature is confirmed, the corresponding outcome contract is marked correct and traders holding winning positions receive their payout.
Several factors can shift odds for Munich's June 8 high temperature. Updated weather forecasts from meteorological agencies will be the primary driver, especially as the event date approaches and model confidence increases. Major atmospheric patterns—such as heat waves, cold fronts, or unusual pressure systems affecting Central Europe—can trigger significant repricing. Additionally, historical temperature anomalies, seasonal trends, and real-time atmospheric data releases will influence trader positioning. Each new forecast cycle typically produces measurable odds movements as traders adjust their positions.
