This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Munich Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 2 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Munich Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/de/munich/EDDM. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect real-money bets from traders and often diverge from traditional meteorological forecasts. While weather analysts issue point estimates or ranges based on atmospheric models, prediction markets aggregate dispersed information and incentivize accuracy through financial stakes. Comparing Polymarket odds to official forecasts from Germany's national weather service or European meteorological centers can reveal whether markets are pricing in tail risks, model uncertainty, or recent data shifts that traditional forecasts may lag in reflecting.
The market resolves at Jun 2, 2026, after the highest temperature in Munich on June 2 has been recorded and finalized. Resolution hinges on official temperature data for that date, typically sourced from Munich's primary weather station or national meteorological authority. Once the day concludes and the peak temperature is confirmed, the outcome is determined and traders' positions settle accordingly. The exact resolution criteria and data source are specified in the market's terms.
Several factors could shift odds before Jun 2, 2026. Major weather pattern changes—such as a shift from high-pressure systems to cooler Atlantic fronts—would alter model forecasts and trader expectations. Seasonal anomalies, volcanic activity affecting solar radiation, or unexpected jet-stream repositioning could also influence June temperatures. Real-time updates from European weather centers, ensemble model consensus shifts, and historical analogs for early June in Munich all serve as signals traders monitor. As the date approaches, short-range forecasts become more reliable, typically narrowing uncertainty and stabilizing prices.
