This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Vnukovo International Airport in degrees Celsius on 9 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=UUWW To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect aggregated trader expectations and often diverge from traditional meteorological forecasts. While weather analysts issue deterministic temperature ranges based on climate models and historical data, prediction markets price uncertainty through continuous trading. The Polymarket odds incorporate real-time information, recent weather patterns, and trader conviction. Comparing market-implied probabilities to official forecasts from Russia's Hydrometeorological Center or international models can reveal whether traders are pricing in more or less volatility than experts expect for June 9 in Moscow.
The Highest temperature in Moscow on June 9 market resolves on Jun 9, 2026. Resolution is determined by the actual recorded maximum temperature in Moscow on that date, typically sourced from official meteorological stations or recognized weather data providers. Once the day concludes and the final high temperature is confirmed, the market settles based on which outcome bracket or threshold the actual reading falls into. Traders holding winning shares receive payouts proportional to their position size.
Several factors could shift odds for Moscow's June 9 high temperature. Major weather pattern changes—such as shifts in jet stream positioning, arrival of warm air masses from the south, or unexpected cold fronts—would move markets significantly. Updated seasonal forecasts from meteorological agencies, historical temperature anomalies, and real-time atmospheric data releases influence trader positioning. As June 9 approaches, short-range weather models become more reliable, typically tightening odds around the most probable outcome. Unusual climate events or volcanic activity affecting solar radiation could also impact expectations for that specific date.
