This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect aggregated trader expectations and can be compared against meteorological forecasts from weather services and climate analysts. While professional forecasters rely on atmospheric models and historical data, prediction markets incorporate real-time information and financial incentives for accuracy. Divergences between market odds and analyst predictions may signal either market inefficiency or emerging weather pattern shifts that traditional models have not yet fully captured. Comparing both sources provides a more complete picture of temperature expectations for Moscow on June 3.
The market resolves on Jun 3, 2026, after the highest temperature in Moscow on June 3 has been recorded and verified. Resolution depends on official temperature data from recognized meteorological sources for Moscow on that specific date. The outcome is determined by comparing the recorded high temperature against the predefined thresholds embedded in each contract. Once the data is confirmed and settlement occurs, traders receive payouts based on whether their positions matched the final outcome.
Several factors could shift market odds for Moscow's peak temperature on June 3. Updated weather forecasts from meteorological agencies, particularly those showing changes in atmospheric pressure systems or jet stream patterns, often trigger price movements. Seasonal climate anomalies, heat waves affecting Eastern Europe, or unexpected cold fronts could alter expectations. Historical temperature data releases and real-time weather observations closer to the event date will refine market pricing. Traders continuously incorporate new information, causing odds to adjust as June 3 approaches and forecasting confidence increases.
