This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Vnukovo International Airport in degrees Celsius on 10 Jul '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=UUWW To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Prediction market odds reflect real-money incentives for accuracy, often incorporating meteorological forecasts, historical climate patterns, and seasonal trends faster than traditional analyst consensus. While weather agencies publish deterministic temperature predictions, this market aggregates the collective judgment of traders who profit only if their bets prove correct. Comparing the implied probabilities here to official forecasts from Russia's Hydrometeorological Center or international weather models can reveal where traders see upside or downside risk relative to expert opinion.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker, with each contract representing a specific temperature band. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The cost of a share directly reflects the crowd's estimated probability: higher prices mean traders believe that outcome is more likely. As new information arrives—updated weather models, seasonal anomalies, or real-time atmospheric data—the bid-ask spread tightens or widens, and prices adjust to equilibrate supply and demand among participants.
This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, once the highest temperature recorded in Moscow on that date is finalized and verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the actual meteorological reading, confirmed through official weather station data or recognized climate monitoring agencies. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome band receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless.
Major weather pattern shifts—such as an unexpected heat dome, polar air intrusion, or atmospheric blocking—can dramatically reprrice this market. Updated seasonal forecasts, anomalies in sea-surface temperatures, or volcanic activity affecting solar radiation will influence trader positioning. Real-time meteorological data released in the days before July 10, including humidity, pressure systems, and cloud cover, typically drives sharp repricing as the event date nears and uncertainty narrows.
