The Madrid temperature market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and historical price movements for the highest temperature expected in Madrid on July 2. Traders use this interface to view current market sentiment, 24-hour trading volume of $95,788, and cumulative liquidity across all outcome brackets. Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional meteorological forecasts because traders incorporate real-time data, historical patterns, and market incentives into their pricing. While weather analysts rely on numerical models and satellite imagery to project temperature ranges, this market aggregates the beliefs of many participants who stand to gain or lose based on accuracy. Comparing the leading outcome odds to official forecasts from Spain's national weather service or international models can reveal where the crowd sees additional upside or downside risk relative to expert consensus.

On Polymarket, traders set odds by buying and selling shares tied to specific temperature ranges for Madrid on July 2. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome bracket is priced independently, with the cost of a share reflecting the crowd's estimated probability of that range occurring. As new information emerges—such as updated weather models or seasonal anomalies—traders adjust their positions, moving prices up or down to reflect shifting conviction about which temperature band will verify at settlement.

This market resolves around Jul 2, 2026, once the highest temperature recorded in Madrid on July 2 is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing the official recorded high to the predefined temperature brackets offered in the market. Traders holding shares in the bracket that contains the verified temperature receive their payout, while other positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the close of the trading day.

Major weather model updates, atmospheric pressure shifts, and seasonal climate anomalies can significantly move odds in this market. Unexpected heat waves, cold fronts, or changes to the jet stream forecast will prompt traders to reassess their positions. Real-time temperature readings from Madrid in the days leading up to July 2 also serve as powerful signals—if early-morning or afternoon highs trend warmer or cooler than expected, the market will reprice accordingly. Breaking news about regional weather patterns or climate events can trigger rapid shifts in trader sentiment.
