The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the London City Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/gb/london/EGLC. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Prediction market odds on Polymarket often diverge from traditional meteorological forecasts and seasonal analyst predictions. While weather agencies rely on numerical models and historical climate data, prediction markets incorporate real-time trader conviction and incorporate broader information flows. Markets may price in uncertainty differently than deterministic forecasts, sometimes leading to higher or lower probabilities for extreme temperatures. Comparing Polymarket implied odds to UK Met Office seasonal outlooks or independent climate analysts can reveal whether traders are pricing in tail risks or consensus scenarios that official forecasters emphasize.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the highest temperature in London on June 12 is priced through outcome contracts representing discrete temperature ranges or specific thresholds. Each contract trades independently, with its price reflecting the collective probability assigned by traders. As new weather data emerges or seasonal patterns shift, traders adjust positions, moving prices up or down. The spread between bid and ask prices reflects liquidity and uncertainty; tighter spreads indicate high confidence and trading activity, while wider spreads suggest lower conviction or fewer active participants in that particular outcome.
The market resolves on Jun 12, 2026, after the highest temperature in London on June 12 has been recorded and verified. Resolution depends on official temperature data from a designated weather station or meteorological authority serving London. Once the peak temperature is confirmed, the outcome contract corresponding to the actual temperature range or threshold settles, and all other contracts expire worthless. Traders should monitor official announcements and data sources as the event date approaches to understand which authority will provide the binding temperature reading.
Major weather pattern shifts, updated seasonal forecasts, and atmospheric pressure systems tracking toward the UK can significantly move odds. El Niño or La Niña conditions, jet stream positioning, and high-pressure ridges over Europe all influence June temperatures in London. Real-time weather model updates—especially from the ECMWF or UK Met Office—often trigger trader repositioning. Unusual heat waves or cold snaps in late May can shift expectations for early June. Climate anomalies, volcanic activity affecting solar radiation, and even solar cycle phases may influence longer-term seasonal signals that traders incorporate into pricing.
