Traders buy and sell shares corresponding to their belief in whether the actual high will fall into that bracket. As new information emerges or trading activity shifts, prices adjust continuously to reflect updated market sentiment about the most likely temperature outcome.
The market resolves on Jun 10, 2026, after the highest temperature in Kuala Lumpur on June 10 has been recorded and verified. The outcome is determined by the actual peak temperature observed in the city on that date. Once the data is confirmed, the market settles according to which outcome bracket or threshold the recorded temperature falls into, and traders' positions are paid out accordingly.
Several factors could shift market odds for Kuala Lumpur's June 10 high temperature. Seasonal weather pattern updates, monsoon forecasts, and tropical storm activity in Southeast Asia could signal cooler or warmer conditions. Long-range climate models and regional heat anomalies may influence trader expectations. Recent temperature trends in Kuala Lumpur and broader Malaysian weather data could prompt repricing. Additionally, any unusual atmospheric or oceanographic signals—such as sea surface temperature changes or pressure system developments—may cause traders to adjust their probability assessments as June 10 approaches.
