This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Kuala Lumpur Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 1 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Kuala Lumpur Intl Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/my/sepang-district/WMKK. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect aggregated trader expectations and typically incorporate meteorological data, seasonal patterns, and historical temperature records for Kuala Lumpur in early June. Traditional analyst forecasts from weather services and climate models provide deterministic point estimates or narrow ranges. Prediction markets often diverge from single-point forecasts because traders price in uncertainty and tail risks. Comparing market-implied probabilities to meteorologist consensus can reveal whether traders are pricing in unusual volatility or extreme scenarios that conventional forecasts downweight.
The market resolves on Jun 1, 2026, after the highest temperature for June 1 in Kuala Lumpur has been recorded and verified. Resolution depends on the official temperature reading captured by the designated meteorological authority or weather station serving Kuala Lumpur. The specific outcome contract matching the recorded high temperature settles to 1, while all other contracts settle to 0. Traders should monitor official weather data sources and market announcements as the resolution date approaches to confirm which outcome has been determined.
Several factors could shift market odds before June 1. Updated seasonal weather forecasts and long-range climate models may indicate stronger or weaker heat patterns. Tropical weather systems, monsoon activity, or unusual atmospheric conditions could be flagged by meteorologists weeks in advance. Historical temperature anomalies or El Niño/La Niña effects may influence trader expectations. As June 1 approaches, short-range forecasts become more precise, typically narrowing the range of plausible outcomes. Real-time weather data and any unusual atmospheric events in the days leading up to June 1 will likely drive final price adjustments.
