Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect real-money consensus from traders betting on Karachi's June 12 high temperature. Compare these odds to meteorological forecasts from agencies like the Pakistan Meteorological Department or international weather models. Prediction markets often incorporate analyst data but may diverge if traders expect unusual conditions, model uncertainty, or seasonal anomalies. Tracking both sources helps identify whether the market is pricing in tail risks or consensus forecasts. Analyst models typically update daily, while market odds shift continuously with new trades.
On Polymarket, the highest temperature in Karachi on June 12 is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to specific temperature ranges or outcomes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome's price reflects the probability traders assign to that temperature occurring. Prices adjust in real time as new orders flow in; higher prices indicate higher perceived likelihood. Liquidity and trading volume affect how quickly prices respond to new information. The spread between bid and ask prices tightens as the event date nears and more traders participate.
The market resolves on Jun 12, 2026, after the highest temperature in Karachi on June 12 has been recorded and reported. Resolution depends on the official temperature reading from a designated meteorological source, typically the Pakistan Meteorological Department or an agreed-upon weather station in Karachi. The outcome is determined by comparing the recorded high temperature against the predefined outcome brackets or thresholds established at market creation. Once the temperature is confirmed, the winning outcome is settled and traders receive payouts proportional to their positions.
Several factors can shift market odds for Karachi's June 12 high temperature. Updated weather forecasts from meteorological agencies will influence trader expectations as the date approaches. Seasonal monsoon patterns, ocean temperature anomalies, and atmospheric pressure systems can alter predictions. Historical temperature data and climate trends for early June in Karachi provide baseline context. Real-time weather alerts, heat waves in South Asia, or unusual atmospheric events may trigger sharp repricing. As June 12 nears, intraday forecasts become more precise, typically narrowing the range and concentrating trading around the most likely outcome.
