Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader expectations and often diverge from traditional meteorological forecasts. While weather analysts rely on numerical models and historical climate data, this market incorporates real-time information and trader conviction through price signals. Comparing the implied probabilities here to published forecasts from regional meteorological agencies can reveal where the crowd expects conditions to deviate from model consensus. Markets typically react faster to breaking weather patterns, making them a useful cross-check against static analyst predictions for the Jeddah temperature outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time probability quotes for each temperature bracket. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell outcome shares, with prices reflecting the collective belief about the highest temperature on the specified date. As new information emerges—weather alerts, seasonal patterns, or atmospheric data—prices adjust dynamically. The spread between bid and ask prices tightens as the event date nears and more traders participate, improving price discovery for this outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 13, 2026, once the highest temperature recorded in Jeddah on July 13 is verified and confirmed. The outcome is determined by comparing actual recorded temperatures against the predefined brackets offered in this market. Resolution relies on credible public reporting from established meteorological sources to ensure accuracy and fairness. Traders holding shares in the correct temperature range receive their payout once the event concludes and the final temperature is officially documented.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before Jul 13, 2026. Major weather pattern changes—such as monsoon onset, heat dome formation, or unexpected atmospheric blocking—typically trigger sharp price moves. Official seasonal forecasts and updated climate outlooks from regional meteorological agencies often influence trader positioning. Real-time satellite imagery, sea-surface temperature anomalies, and historical temperature records for mid-July in Jeddah also serve as key signals. As the event date approaches, intraday weather updates and final model consensus tend to narrow the range and sharpen price discovery for the highest temperature outcome.
