This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Istanbul Airport in degrees Celsius on 25 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=LTFM To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional meteorological forecasts because they incorporate real-time trader sentiment and incentivize accuracy through financial stakes. While weather analysts rely on physics-based models and historical data, this market aggregates the views of many participants who profit only if their temperature prediction is correct. Comparing the implied probabilities here to official forecasts from Turkey's meteorological institute or international weather services can reveal where the crowd expects conditions to differ from model consensus. Such gaps sometimes signal emerging uncertainty or contrarian views worth monitoring.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker, where the cost of each share reflects its implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each temperature bracket has its own price, and as traders accumulate positions, the odds shift to balance supply and demand. Higher trading volume typically tightens spreads and increases price accuracy. Participants can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, allowing continuous price discovery throughout the forecast period.
This market resolves around Jun 25, 2026, once the highest temperature recorded in Istanbul on June 25 is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing the final reading against the temperature brackets offered in the market. Whichever range contains the actual high temperature is declared correct, and traders holding shares in that outcome receive their payout. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the close of the trading day.
Major weather pattern shifts, updated seasonal forecasts, and real-time atmospheric data releases can all shift odds significantly. If meteorological institutes issue revised heat wave warnings or tropical system alerts affecting the region, traders may reprrice their positions upward or downward. Geopolitical or air quality events that influence local conditions, as well as historical anomalies in June temperatures, also influence participant conviction. Close to June 25, intraday weather updates and satellite imagery typically drive the most volatile repricing as the actual outcome becomes clearer.
