This event tracks the highest temperature recorded in Houston on a specific future date, using data from a designated weather provider. Participants can assess various temperature ranges to predict how extreme the weather might be on that day.
The event resolves based on the maximum temperature recorded in Houston (CLIHOU) on October 24, 2026, as reported by The Weather Company. Six separate markets cover different temperature ranges: 82°F or below, 83-84°F, 85-86°F, 87-88°F, 89-90°F, and above 90°F. Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the recorded temperature falls within its specified range. All markets share common secondary rules regarding data verification and error handling. Preliminary data may be subject to rounding or conversion differences, and The Weather Company’s final reported value is the official determinant. If a material error is identified in the initial publication, the exchange may delay expiration until a corrected value is released or until the expiration date, whichever comes first. If no data remains available by the end of this period, all markets resolve to the last fair price determined by the exchange. The 'Final' status on The Weather Company’s platform is informational only and does not guarantee data accuracy or exempt the market from these error-resolution procedures.
