This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 3 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/cn/chongqing/ZUCK. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
The market resolves on Jun 3, 2026, after the highest temperature in Chongqing on June 3 is recorded and finalized. Resolution is determined by official temperature data for that date, typically sourced from meteorological authorities or designated weather stations in Chongqing. The outcome is binary or categorical depending on how the contract is structured—for example, whether the high temperature reaches a specific threshold or falls within a defined range. Once the actual temperature is confirmed, the market settles automatically and traders receive payouts based on their positions.
Several factors can shift odds for Chongqing's June 3 high temperature. Major weather systems—monsoons, heat waves, or cold fronts—approaching the region in late May or early June will trigger significant repricing as meteorological forecasts update. Seasonal climate patterns, such as early or delayed onset of summer heat, influence trader expectations. Real-time weather model updates and official forecasts from China's meteorological authority will be closely watched. Historical temperature anomalies for early June in Chongqing may also prompt adjustments if traders reassess baseline expectations. As June 3 approaches, intraday forecasts become more precise, typically narrowing the range of plausible outcomes.
