Several factors can shift odds on this market before it resolves. Updated seasonal forecasts or long-range weather models predicting heat waves or cooler patterns in the region will influence trader positioning. Real-time atmospheric data, such as high-pressure systems or monsoon activity affecting East Asia, can trigger rapid repricing. News of climate anomalies, El Niño or La Niña conditions, or historical temperature comparisons may also prompt traders to reassess their bets. As July 4 approaches, short-range forecasts become more reliable and typically drive the largest price movements.
