Description

On October 22, 2026, observers in Chicago will note the peak temperature reached that day. The outcome depends on where this temperature falls within a series of defined ranges, each corresponding to a separate market condition.

Kalshi

The market resolves based on the maximum temperature recorded at Chicago (CLIMDW) on Oct 22, 2026, as reported by The Weather Company. Six distinct temperature ranges are defined: less than 68°F, between 68-69°F, between 70-71°F, between 72-73°F, between 74-75°F, and greater than 75°F. If the recorded maximum temperature falls within any of these ranges, the corresponding market resolves to Yes. All data from The Weather Company is official, though preliminary readings may be subject to revision. In case of material errors in initial publications, the Exchange may delay expiration until a corrected value is released or until the expiration date. If data remains unavailable by the expiration period, markets resolve to the last fair price determined by Kalshi.
