The market resolves on Jun 9, 2026, after the highest temperature in Buenos Aires on June 9 has been recorded and reported. Resolution is determined by the actual observed maximum temperature on that date, measured according to standard meteorological protocols for the Buenos Aires region. Once the official temperature reading is confirmed, the market settles based on which outcome bracket the final value falls into. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless.
Key signals include updated weather forecasts from meteorological agencies, seasonal temperature anomalies, atmospheric pressure systems approaching Buenos Aires, and historical climate data for early June in the region. Major weather events such as cold fronts, heat waves, or unusual jet stream patterns can shift market odds significantly. Real-time temperature readings in the days leading up to June 9 provide traders with calibration points. Additionally, any revisions to climate models or long-range forecasts may trigger repricing as participants adjust their probability estimates closer to the resolution date.
