Similarly, on the same date in Austin, residents will experience weather conditions that determine the day's highest temperature. Markets here also depend on which of several temperature bands the actual maximum falls into.

Kalshi

This market also resolves based on the maximum temperature recorded at Austin (CLIAUS) on Oct 22, 2026, according to The Weather Company. Six temperature ranges are specified: less than 84°F, between 84-85°F, between 86-87°F, between 88-89°F, between 90-91°F, and greater than 91°F. The market corresponding to the range containing the actual maximum temperature resolves to Yes. As with the Chicago event, The Weather Company provides the official data, with provisions for handling preliminary readings and potential errors. If a material error is identified in the initial data, the Exchange may extend the expiration until a corrected value is published or the expiration date arrives. In the event of persistent data unavailability, markets resolve to the last fair price set by Kalshi. The "Final" status on weather.com/kalshi serves as a convenience and does not ensure data accuracy.
