This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded at the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Station in degrees Celsius on 27 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from Wunderground, specifically the highest temperature recorded for all times on this day for the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Station, available here: https://www.wunderground.com/history/daily/nl/schiphol/EHAM. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the gear icon next to the search bar and switch the Temperature setting between °F and °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional weather analyst forecasts because they incorporate real-time trader behavior, risk appetite, and information flow that may not be fully reflected in static meteorological models. While meteorologists publish deterministic or probabilistic forecasts based on atmospheric data and historical patterns, this market aggregates the collective judgment of traders who have financial incentive to price outcomes accurately. Comparing the leading outcome probability in this market to published forecasts from national weather services or independent meteorologists can reveal whether traders are pricing in tail risks, model uncertainty, or recent data that analysts have not yet incorporated. The gap between the two often narrows as the event date approaches and new information becomes available.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader orders into real-time probability estimates for each temperature outcome bracket. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares corresponding to specific temperature ranges, and the platform's pricing algorithm adjusts odds continuously based on order flow and liquidity depth. Higher trading volume in a particular outcome bracket pushes its probability upward, while reduced interest lowers it. The market's price discovery mechanism reflects the aggregate confidence of all participants, with each trade representing a bet on where the highest temperature will ultimately fall on that date.
This market resolves around Jun 27, 2026, once the highest temperature recorded in Amsterdam on June 27 becomes verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing all temperature readings from that day and confirming the maximum value through official meteorological records or widely recognized weather data providers. Resolution typically occurs within hours or a few days after the event, depending on data availability and platform verification procedures. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome bracket receive their payout once the market is officially settled.
Major weather model updates, seasonal pattern shifts, and real-time atmospheric changes can significantly move this market. If meteorological institutes issue revised forecasts showing a stronger heat system or cooler pattern approaching Amsterdam, traders will reprice their positions accordingly. Breaking news about jet stream positioning, high-pressure systems, or unusual climate anomalies may trigger sharp moves in outcome probabilities. As June 27 approaches, each new weather report and model run becomes more influential because the forecast cone narrows and uncertainty decreases. Extreme weather events elsewhere in Europe or shifts in the North Atlantic Oscillation could also shift trader expectations about regional temperature patterns.
