Air quality in New York City will be measured by the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 3pm EDT on July 19, 2026. The AQI is a standardized metric that quantifies how polluted the air is, with higher values indicating worse air quality and greater health risks. Resolution will be based on the official AQI reading recorded by the National Weather Service or equivalent national weather authority.
Each market outcome corresponds to a specific AQI threshold for New York City on July 19, 2026 at 3pm EDT. Resolution is determined exclusively by official AQI data recorded and published by the National Weather Service or equivalent national weather service with jurisdiction over the specified area. Only the first published version of the official reading is used for resolution; forecasts, projections, outlooks, or informal media mentions do not qualify. The AQI measurement must be explicitly identified and recorded in official reports, bulletins, advisories, or databases maintained by the source agency. Events back-dated after the market expiration date do not count unless officially documented prior to expiration. If official AQI data is unavailable at the latest expiration date, all outcomes resolve to No. Each threshold outcome (80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190, 200) resolves independently based on whether the recorded AQI exceeds that specific value.
