This event determines which player role will be awarded the Finals MVP at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. Each market corresponds to one of the five primary in-game roles, and the outcome depends on the role of the player who receives the award.
The event resolves based on the primary in-game role of the player officially awarded the Finals MVP at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. There are five possible outcomes, each corresponding to one of the eligible roles: Top, Jungle, Mid, Bot (ADC), and Support. If a single player wins the MVP, the market for their primary role during the Finals resolves to Yes. If multiple players share the MVP award and they play different roles, Yes holders for each relevant role will receive a payout divided equally among the number of shared roles (1/N). No holders will receive $1 minus the total Yes payout. If shared MVP players all play the same role, that role's market resolves to Yes. The determination of role is based solely on the primary position the MVP recipient played during the Finals, irrespective of the champion used.
Currently, it's difficult to directly compare the odds in this market to traditional analyst forecasts, as those forecasts are often qualitative or based on subjective assessments. However, prediction markets like this one can offer a different perspective, aggregating the wisdom of the crowd to produce probabilities based on actual money at stake. If analysts are consistently favoring a particular player, we might see their odds shorten in this market as well, but discrepancies can also reveal areas where the market diverges from expert opinion. This provides a unique signal beyond standard punditry.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing different potential MVP winners. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that player winning, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and changing sentiment. Traders aim to profit by accurately predicting the outcome and capitalizing on discrepancies between their own beliefs and the market's implied probabilities. The market is dynamic and responsive to news and events.
This market resolves around Nov 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The MVP will be determined by the official award given at the conclusion of the Worlds 2026 Finals. The player selected as MVP by the official governing body will be the winning outcome for this market. Traders will have until the resolution time to adjust their positions based on the latest information available, and the final prices will reflect the market's collective prediction immediately before the event concludes.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Player injuries or unexpected performance dips during the tournament are major catalysts. Major upsets in the bracket, leading to different teams reaching the finals, would also shift the odds. News regarding player health, team strategies, or even coaching changes could all influence trader behavior. Furthermore, any public statements or endorsements from influential figures in the esports community might create momentum for certain players. Overall, any information that alters perceptions of a player’s likelihood of winning the MVP award could move this market.
