Opinion
This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official "Close" price for Apple (AAPL) on the trading day specified in the title is strictly higher than the price specified in the title. A "Close" exactly equal to the specified price resolves to "No". If the market is not open on the specified day (exchange holiday or unscheduled closure), or Apple (AAPL) does not trade at all during that day's regular session, this market resolves 50-50 — each side is paid at half value; this is not a refund. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Apple (AAPL), this market resolves on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in the title is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Apple (AAPL) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/ under "Historical Prices". If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Apple (AAPL) trades governs.

Currently, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than many traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts often provide price targets based on fundamental and technical analysis, this market represents the collective wisdom of traders betting real money on the outcome. This often leads to a more forward-looking assessment, incorporating a wider range of potential events and their probabilities. It’s worth noting that analyst opinions can vary widely, and this market offers a single, quantifiable view of expectations regarding Apple’s stock performance.
On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous auction where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Apple’s stock will close above the target price. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the market participants. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates the implied probability of the event occurring, and changes in price demonstrate shifts in trader sentiment. Volume plays a key role, as higher volume generally indicates greater confidence in the market’s assessment.
This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the closing price of Apple (AAPL) stock on that date is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official closing price reported by a major financial exchange. Traders will then be paid out based on whether the stock price met the predetermined condition. This allows for a clear and objective determination of the market’s outcome, based on publicly available data.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Major announcements from Apple regarding new products, earnings reports, or changes in company leadership would likely cause price fluctuations. Broader economic news, such as interest rate changes or shifts in overall market sentiment, could also influence the Apple stock price. Unexpected events, like geopolitical developments or disruptions to Apple’s supply chain, could also play a role. Positive or negative news regarding competitor performance could also shift the odds in this market.
