On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the outcome. The price of these contracts directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price is determined by the forces of supply and demand; if more traders believe an outcome is likely, the price of that contract will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence of participants.
This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the winner of the 2026 Coinbase trading competition is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results announced by Coinbase, and will reflect the individual or team declared the winner of the competition. The platform will verify the outcome against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy and transparency, providing a definitive record of the event's result.
Several signals could significantly move this market before resolution. Any announcements from Coinbase regarding the competition's structure, rules, or eligibility criteria could impact trader sentiment. The performance of potential competitors in other trading competitions or their demonstrated trading skills could also influence the odds. Unexpected news related to the participants, such as changes in team composition or trading strategies, might also cause shifts in the market. Finally, broader market events or changes in the cryptocurrency landscape could indirectly affect perceptions of who is best positioned to succeed in the competition.
