On September 12, 2026, Anthropic committed to giving embedded third-party evaluators permanent, ongoing, employee-level access to its AI models and training processes. This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed company announces a commitment to grant one or more third-party evaluators ongoing employee-level access to its systems, AI models, and training processes during development by October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Arrangements limited to evaluating models before release will not qualify. Current agreements with the Center for AI Standards and Innovation (CAISI) to provide pre-deployment access to AI models will not qualify. A qualifying announcement must be made through the listed company's official channels or by an authorized representative acting in an official capacity. Statements that endorse third-party evaluation, describe it as under consideration, or express an intention to explore or discuss it will not qualify. A commitment made as part of a broader agreement with other companies or with a government will qualify, provided the listed company is a party to it and it otherwise meets the requirements above. If a qualifying announcement is made within this market's timeframe, this market will resolve to "Yes" regardless of whether the commitment is binding, is later modified or withdrawn, or is ever implemented. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the listed company; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Currently, the prevailing sentiment on Polymarket suggests a high probability that at least one major AI lab will commit to third-party vetting. This aligns with some analyst expectations, which also anticipate increased transparency and accountability within the AI development community. However, there's some divergence, as some analysts believe the timeline for widespread adoption of vetting procedures is longer. This market provides a unique way to gauge collective intelligence, potentially offering a more accurate forecast than relying solely on individual expert opinions or polls.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will depend on whether any major AI labs publicly announce a commitment to third-party vetting of their models before the specified date. The outcome will be determined by assessing official statements, press releases, and other publicly available documentation from these labs. The focus is on a verifiable public commitment, not internal discussions or preliminary explorations of vetting processes.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. A major announcement from a leading AI lab regarding their commitment to third-party vetting would likely cause a substantial price shift. Conversely, negative news about the feasibility or desirability of vetting could lower probabilities. Regulatory developments, such as new government guidelines or legislation related to AI safety, could also influence trader sentiment. Additionally, any prominent statements from key figures in the AI community regarding vetting practices could move this market before Nov 1, 2026.
