Netflix is expected to update its Top 10 movies list on top10.netflix.com on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 3:00 PM ET, reflecting viewership from the previous week (Monday to Sunday). This market will resolve based on which movie this update ranks as the #2 US Netflix movie. Movies will be primarily ranked by chart ranking. If two or more movies are tied on chart ranking, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the movies' titles. This market will resolve to the movie that occupies the second-highest finishing position after applying this ranking. The ranking is based on total views in the United States, as reported by Netflix for US Top 10 Movies. If the top10.netflix.com update does not occur by September 18, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. While analysts may rely on pre-release buzz or historical performance, this market incorporates the wisdom of the crowd, reacting to real-time viewership data and shifting trends on Netflix. Discrepancies can arise from factors analysts might overlook, such as viral social media campaigns or unexpected user engagement. It’s common to see this market adjust rapidly to new information, potentially offering a more dynamic and accurate prediction than static analyst reports.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each movie's probability of becoming the #2 film. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices fluctuate, reflecting the evolving consensus. Higher demand for shares in a particular movie drives up its price, indicating increased confidence in its chances, while selling pressure lowers the price.
This market resolves around Sep 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the #2 movie on US Netflix is verified against credible public reporting. The determination will be based on the official Netflix top 10 list for the relevant week, as reported by a widely recognized and impartial source. The market will settle to 100% for the movie that holds the #2 position on that list, and 0% for all other contenders. Traders should monitor the official Netflix rankings as the resolution date approaches to understand how the market is aligning with the actual results.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. A major marketing push for a specific movie, unexpected critical acclaim, or a viral trend on social media could all drive increased trading activity and shift the odds. Changes to Netflix’s algorithm that affect movie recommendations or the addition of new, highly anticipated releases could also play a role. Furthermore, any news regarding cast members or behind-the-scenes developments could influence public perception and, consequently, the market’s predictions. Monitoring these events will be crucial for traders looking to capitalize on shifts in sentiment.
