Description

An "↑" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "High" for Google (GOOGL) is at or above the price specified in the market at any point inside the window; an "↓" market resolves to "Yes" if the official daily "Low" is at or below the specified price. Boundary touches count. Markets whose level is never reached before the deadline resolve "No". In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting Google (GOOGL), these markets resolve on split-adjusted prices, and the price specified in each market is adjusted proportionally. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Google (GOOGL) daily price data available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GOOGL/. If that data is unavailable due to an outage or other technical disruption, the official price published by the primary exchange on which Google (GOOGL) trades governs.

Frequently asked questions

On Opinion, the dashboard tracks real-time odds, price history, and 24-hour volume of $0 for the Google price market. It shows how traders on Opinion are positioning around where Google’s share price will land in the week of August 17 2026. The interface updates continuously to reflect market sentiment and trading activity, giving users a live view of participant expectations without needing to visit multiple venues.

Compared to traditional analyst forecasts, prediction market odds offer a real-time aggregate of trader sentiment rather than expert opinion. While analysts may publish target prices or probability ranges based on fundamentals and technicals, this market reflects the collective bet of participants on Opinion. The two can diverge; for example, traders might price in unexpected news events or shifts in investor sentiment that aren’t yet reflected in mainstream analyst reports.

This market resolves around Aug 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders will look to official stock exchanges and widely recognized financial news sources to validate Google’s closing price in the relevant week. The process is designed so that anyone can independently check the result against public records.

Several signals could shift this market before it resolves. Earnings reports, major product announcements, regulatory developments, or geopolitical events that affect tech stocks may cause rapid price adjustments. Additionally, broader market trends — like changes in interest rates or sector-wide sentiment — can influence trader positioning. Any surprise news that changes expectations for Google’s valuation in August 2026 is likely to create volatility in this market.
