Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the QQQ/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the QQQ/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the QQQ/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/qqq-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink QQQ/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-23T14:45:00Z

Frequently asked questions

On Predict, the dashboard for the QQQ direction market tracks the current odds of the QQQ rising or falling between 10:45 AM and 11:00 AM ET on October 23rd. You'll find a price history chart showing how the probabilities have shifted over time, as well as the total volume traded in this market, currently at $130. The 24-hour volume is displayed as $129, indicating recent trading activity. This provides a real-time view of how traders are assessing the likely direction of the QQQ during that specific timeframe.

Currently, it's important to note that prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of traders on Predict, and may not always align perfectly with traditional analyst forecasts. These forecasts often rely on fundamental and technical analysis, while this market represents a more speculative view of short-term price movement. If analysts are generally bullish on the QQQ, you might see higher probabilities assigned to an upward movement in this market, but discrepancies can occur based on differing methodologies and information access. It's a comparison of crowd wisdom versus expert opinion.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the QQQ will be up or down during the specified time window. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand, directly reflecting the probability of each outcome as perceived by the market participants. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe the QQQ will rise, the higher the price of the 'up' contracts will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market odds are constantly updated.

This market resolves around Oct 23, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the direction of the QQQ will be determined by comparing its price at 10:45 AM ET to its price at 11:00 AM ET on October 23rd. If the price at 11:00 AM ET is higher than at 10:45 AM ET, the 'up' outcome will be considered correct; otherwise, the 'down' outcome will prevail. The resolution will be based on publicly available market data, ensuring transparency and objectivity.
