Description

This market will resolve to "Up" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than the price at the beginning of that range. It will resolve to "Down" if the MSFT/USDT price at the end of the time range is lower than the price at the beginning of that range. If the two prices are exactly equal, the market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is Chainlink, specifically the MSFT/USDT data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/msft-usdt-markpriceindex-datalink?timeframe=1d&chart=candlestick To verify the final price, use the close price of the 5m candlestick just before the market's end time. For example, for a market running from 1:00 to 1:15 PM ET, use the close price of the 1:10 PM candlestick as the final price. The resolution source uses the index price (field i) from Binance's USDS-Margined Futures Mark Price Stream for All Markets (!markPrice@arr), denominated in the quote currency. This market is based solely on the price reported by the Chainlink MSFT/USDT data stream, not on other sources or futures markets. If Chainlink data is unavailable or otherwise unusable for resolution, the market will resolve based on a consensus of reliable sources. 2026-10-30T18:00:00Z

Currently, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than many traditional analyst forecasts for Microsoft. While some analysts predict continued growth based on cloud computing and AI advancements, this market incorporates a wider range of potential outcomes and real-time information. The aggregated judgment of traders often differs from individual expert opinions, potentially identifying overlooked risks or opportunities. It's important to remember that analyst forecasts are typically point estimates, while this market represents a probability distribution of possible future scenarios for the stock.

On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Microsoft stock will be up or down at the specified time. The price of these contracts directly reflects the probability of that outcome, as perceived by the crowd. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders believe the stock will go up, the higher the price of the 'up' contracts will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adapt to new information and changing sentiment.

This market resolves around Oct 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether the Microsoft stock price at 2:15 PM ET on October 30th is higher or lower than its price at 2:00 PM ET on the same day. The change in stock price during that 15-minute window will determine whether the 'up' or 'down' outcome is declared. The final price will be sourced from a widely recognized financial data provider.

Several factors could significantly impact this market before Oct 30, 2026. Major announcements from Microsoft regarding earnings, new product launches, or significant partnerships would be key catalysts. Broader economic news, such as interest rate decisions or inflation reports, could also influence investor sentiment towards tech stocks like Microsoft. Unexpected geopolitical events or industry-specific disruptions could also play a role. Any news that alters the perceived growth prospects or risk profile of Microsoft is likely to cause shifts in trading activity and, consequently, the odds in this market.
